Man steckt einen Stab in den Boden. Markiere die spitze des Schattens (z.B. mit einem Stein).
Warte etwa eine halbe Stunde und markiere jetzt den zweiten neuen Schatten ebenfalls.
Mache dies insgesamt drei mal. Nun verbinde die drei Punkte mit einer Linie. Norden ist nun senkrecht zu dieser Linie.
Diese Methode ist genauer puttygen ssh ↗ , je weiter oben die Sonne und je länger man sich Zeit lässt.
Auf der südlichen Halbkugel muss man Norden und Süden vertauschen.Bei schlechtem Wetter sollte man diese Methode nicht nutzen.
